Fusion Dance Company is Northwestern University’s premier hip hop dance company. Heavy on talent and rich in style, Fusion is a well-known group on Northwestern’s campus and is growing into the surrounding Chicagoland area. Founded in 2003, Fusion has grown into a student-run group of talented and passionate people from a vast variety of backgrounds and experiences. Building on our common passion for dance, Fusion has become a company, a family, an endless hug, and a lifestyle. We dance for the love it spreads, and we’re so excited to share that with you.
Our annual spring showcase, last year attended by over 700 people (the most attended dance show on campus), features pieces ranging from contemporary to breakdancing. Fusion has been featured in commercials, been backup dancers for music videos, been scouted for private auditions for America’s Got Talent, performed at hiphop showcases in Chicago, performed at NU Dance Marathon every year for over 1000 people, brought in professional Chicago companies to teach at NU, had Ludacris’s manager ask for videos of us, and gotten over 118,000 views on our YouTube channel.
